October the 5th, 1999 signalled the launch of TimberTec in Eutin, the capital of Germany’s East Holstein district: On this day Telecommunications Engineer Frank Ridder (BSc Eng) and Technical Computer Scientists Andreas Boll (BSc Eng) established their company TimberTec.
Equipped with three staff members, comprehensive experience in the timber industry, as well as numerous contacts, the first projects saw their debut.
After three months the company had a staff of seven and in 2000 moved into a new cube-shaped building in Eutin’s Business Park.
In 2001 TimberTec became a public limited company. To coincide with its tenth anniversary, the team that had since grown to 53 staff moved into its own premises in Max Planck Street in its Eutin headquarters.
